Outsource Drive Pty Ltd ("OutsourceDrive", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and, where applicable to international Clients, other relevant data protection laws.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through www.outsourcedrive.com (the "Platform"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, company name, physical or billing address.
- Verification information: identity documents, business registration details, tax numbers, and portfolio or qualification information for Suppliers.
- Payment information: banking details, payment card details and transaction history processed through our third-party payment processor.
- Communications: messages exchanged through the Platform, support enquiries and correspondence with us.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and log data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences: if you opt in to newsletters or promotional communications.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you when you register, complete your profile or communicate through the Platform.
- Automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you use the Platform.
- From third parties, such as identity verification providers or payment processors, where necessary to provide our Services.
4. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
Under POPIA, we process your personal information only where a lawful justification applies, including:

5. Sharing of Information
We may share your personal information with:
- Other Users: Clients and Suppliers see relevant profile and Engagement information necessary to transact with one another.
- Payment processors: to process payments, escrow and payouts. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves. These are handled by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor.
- Service providers: hosting, identity verification, analytics, customer support and email-delivery providers acting on our instructions.
- Regulators and authorities: where required by law, such as tax authorities or exchange control regulations.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Because OutsourceDrive connects South African Suppliers with international Clients, personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside South Africa.
Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is subject to a data protection standard that provides adequate protection, consistent with POPIA's cross-border transfer requirements.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including encryption of payment data, access controls and secure hosting.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting, tax or reporting requirements.
Account information is generally retained for the duration of your account plus five years thereafter for financial records, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
9. Your Rights Under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Be notified that we hold your personal information.
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or updating of inaccurate, outdated or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or destruction of personal information we are no longer authorised to retain.
- Object to processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes, or on reasonable grounds relating to your particular situation.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
